Designing your own gold bracelet

So you have decided that you must have a new gold bracelet. Once you have chosen the style of gold chain you like, you still need to consider the length and width of the bracelet.

Ladies will find that almost any width of solid gold chain will be suitable, where as men will need a bracelet of around 7mm or wider. Anything smaller than that lacks masculinity. To find the correct length, measure your wrist and add between 2 and 3 centimetres, if you want a tighter or looser fit then you can increase or reduce as needed.

To give your gold bracelet a little bit more character, you may wish to fit a bolt ring clasp in place of the lobster clasp that would normally be supplied. A large range of solid gold plain and filigree heart shaped padlocks, both available in convex or flat designs will also add some flair to your bracelet.
